EUCAP receives grant from European AI Fund

On 4th November, the European Artificial Intelligence Fund announced its 14 new grantees. EUCAP is among the organisations selected to receive support to work on policy and advocacy concerning artificial intelligence.

Artificial intelligence is increasingly studied with the aim of using it in technologies and interventions targeting autism. Autistic views, knowledge and participation are needed to steer research and product development in directions that will lead to applications that are ethical, acceptable and beneficial to autistic people.

EUCAP will use the grant over the next two years to build the capacity of autistic-led organisations to advocate for the rights of autistic people in all AI related matters. Our work will include building our knowledge base, networking, training autistic advocates, creating materials and disseminating information.
